Duskcrumb User Agreement
Effective date: September 28, 2026 Updated: September 28, 2026 Support: crumbs@duskcrumb.app
1. Product
Duskcrumb is an iOS App that helps a parent turn today’s small on-device crumb into tonight’s bedtime listen. You use the pillow card, nested draft review (Accept / Edit / Reject), system bedtime voice ReplayItems, optional illustrations, Widget / Share paths, and local reminders under this Agreement and the Privacy Policy.
2. Who may use it
You must be able to enter a binding agreement where you live. Duskcrumb is built for the parent / caregiver as the user. It is not a Kids Category experience, not a child-operated account, and not a substitute for parental judgment at bedtime.
3. License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Duskcrumb on Apple devices you own or control, subject to the App Store terms and this Agreement. You may not reverse engineer, resell, or misuse the App to harass, exploit children, or invent medical or sleep-guarantee claims.
4. Your content and Allow
You keep rights in the photos, names, transcripts, drafts, ParentTake clips, and notes you create. Core pillow data stays on this iPhone until you delete it or remove the App. Keep your own backups of anything you care about. Duskcrumb does not promise an account-backed cloud restore of wiped on-device data.
When you tap Allow tonight’s draft, you instruct Duskcrumb to send the packed fields described in the Privacy Policy to DeepSeek and, after Accept, to MiniMax so a draft, bedtime voice, and optional illustrations can be produced. You are responsible for crumbs you attach and for reviewing drafts before Accept.
5. Accept / Reject honesty
Unaccepted drafts are suggestions. Accept persists a ReplayItem and may trigger bedtime-voice synthesis and illustration painting. Reject does not synthesize narration for that draft. Offline or declined-cloud states must not pretend a new listen was written.
6. No In-App Purchases on this tip
The reviewed build has no In-App Purchases, no consumable credit balance, no subscription, and no Restore Purchases control. Core crumb capture, nested drafting after Allow, and system bedtime voice paths are not sold as a separate digital entitlement on this tip. If an older or alternate build ever showed Apple billing, use Apple’s purchase history / report-a-problem flow for those charges.
7. App Tracking Transparency and measurement
This tip may present Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt while the App is active so install-reach measurement can use a device advertising identifier when you allow it. Adjust is the measurement SDK on this tip. Ask App Not to Track does not lock pillow capture, nested drafting after Allow, Accept / listen, or local reminders. Tracking permission is separate from Allow tonight’s draft. Details are in the Privacy Policy (Guideline 5.1.2).
8. Third-party services
DeepSeek, MiniMax, and Adjust operate under their own terms and privacy policies (AI providers are linked from in-app provider policy views after you choose those paths). Apple provides distribution and device services under Apple’s terms. We are not responsible for third-party outages, model refusals, or changes those providers make.
9. Safety and disclaimers
Bedtime listens are creative suggestions, not medical, psychological, or sleep-treatment advice. Duskcrumb does not guarantee a child will fall asleep, does not use HealthKit, and does not collect face data for profiling. The App is provided “as is” to the extent allowed by law. We do not exclude liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
10. Changes and contact
We may update the App or this Agreement when the product changes. Continued use after an in-App or storefront update means you accept the revised terms for later sessions. If you disagree, stop using Duskcrumb and delete the App. Contact: crumbs@duskcrumb.app.
